About this site

What euribor-rates.info is

euribor-rates.info is an independent reference site. There is no bank, broker or financial intermediary behind it, and it is not affiliated with the European Money Markets Institute (EMMI), the European Central Bank or any bank. Its only purpose is to publish the official Euribor fixings with the context a mortgage holder needs.

Why it exists

Anyone with a variable-rate mortgage in the euro area needs one number a few times a year, and needs to understand what that number does to their instalment. The official sources publish the figure but little context; commercial sites surround it with advertising, forecasts and offers. The aim here is narrower: to show the official fixings and averages with a clear explanation of how they are used in each country's mortgage market, written in that country's own language and vocabulary rather than translated from a single template.

Where the figures come from

Every Euribor figure on this site is official ECB / Eurosystem data. The daily fixings for all five maturities are published here with the 24-hour delay that applies to every public source, and the monthly averages computed from them are cross-checked against the official monthly averages on the ECB Data Portal. The record currently spans 2 January 2006 to 7 September 2026.

The figures are shown exactly as the official series states them. Nothing is estimated, smoothed or adjusted, and a value that turns out to be wrong is replaced only with the value from the official series. Each new fixing is checked for completeness and plausibility before it appears; the methodology page describes how the averages and implied forward rates are calculated. The explanatory text is a different matter: it was written by people, it can contain mistakes, and corrections to it are welcome.

What it is not

The site does not give financial advice, does not recommend banks or products, and does not forecast rates. The page titled "forecast" shows implied forward rates computed from the day's curve with the formula in view, which is a description of today's prices, not a prediction.
